🦁 Safari Tours in Tanzania – The “Grants” Program
The five-day “Grants” Safari is designed for adventurers who want to experience Tanzania’s most diverse landscapes and wildlife in a short amount of time. From the elephant-filled plains of Tarangire National Park, to the alkaline waters of Lake Natron, and finally to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, this journey reveals the very best of Africa’s wilderness. Tarangire offers endless encounters with wildlife and its iconic baobab trees. Lake Natron surprises travelers with its surreal red-hued waters and flocks of flamingos, while Ngorongoro showcases one of the greatest natural spectacles on Earth – thousands of animals living together inside an ancient volcanic caldera.

Day 2 – Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins in Tarangire National Park, a reserve famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. The Tarangire River attracts zebras, antelopes, giraffes, and buffaloes, which in turn lure predators such as lions. In the dry season, the park is home to the highest density of elephants in Northern Tanzania.
-
Tonight, you will stay at Maramboi Tented Camp, with full board included.
Day 3 – Tarangire National Park
A second day in Tarangire allows you to explore deeper into the park and discover areas missed on the first day. Tarangire is home to unique species such as the long-necked gerenuk and oryx, and bird enthusiasts will be delighted with over 550 recorded species. Small, curious hyraxes can also be seen here, amusingly known as distant relatives of elephants. After a full day of exploration.
-
You will be transferred to Sound of Silence – Lake Manyara, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 – Lake Natron
Today you head north to the remote and stunning Lake Natron, a surreal landscape often featured in wildlife magazines. Its red-hued waters, best viewed from above, create a dramatic backdrop to the wildlife that thrives in the area, including ostriches, zebras, and giraffes. Few tourists make it here, which adds to the feeling of being in an untouched wilderness. You can also visit nearby springs for a refreshing swim, with water flowing directly from the Ngorongoro highlands. Authentic Maasai villages are located around the lake, offering the opportunity to experience their traditional way of life.
-
Overnight at Lake Natron Camp with full board.
Day 5 – Lake Natron
Lake Natron is one of the most important breeding grounds for flamingos, where tens of thousands gather between September and April. Watching the brilliant pink flocks take flight is an unforgettable sight. With binoculars, you may also spot young chicks learning to walk along the shores. In addition to flamingos, pelicans and other birdlife thrive here in complete freedom.
-
Tonight, you will once again stay at Sound of Silence – Lake Manyara, on full board basis.
Day 6 – Ngorongoro Crater
An early start takes you to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often described as the “Lost World” of Africa. Formed by a collapsed volcano, this natural wonder is home to elephants, lions, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, and even the rare black rhino. The descent into the crater offers breathtaking scenery and unmatched wildlife viewing. After your morning game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch at Lake Magadi, where hippos bask in the waters nearby.
-
As evening falls, return to Arusha for an overnight stay at Gran Meliá Arusha with breakfast included.

Day 7 – Departure
After breakfast and a relaxing morning at your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Hotel check-out is at midday, but late check-out can be arranged upon request.
